Plan Descriptions - TransACT Home Plans
- Standard Plans
Our standard plans are designed
for clients requiring top performance for all types of applications. They provide 'raw' broadband at highest
possible speeds and lowest latency with highest burst capability. This ultimate performance is required for
best online experience, no matter what application you want to use. Whether it is web browsing, email, games,
video conferencing, music streaming or file sharing - the speed and throughoutput of broadband connection
is there waiting for you. These plans include a generous monthly data allocation.
After you reach your monthly data limit, your downloads will be charged at very reasonable excess data prices.
- Capped Plans
These plans are similar to our Standard Plans with an added protection from high download bills.
Once you reach your free data usage allowance, your excess data usage will be charged at an 'Excess Data' rate
up to the maximum cap amount specfied in 'Excess Costs Cap'.
The speed of your connection may also be slowed down, for details please see plan's detailed description.
- Shaped Plans
These are plans are designed for home users with average download requirements.
After the monthly download allocation
is reached, the connection speed will be slowed down (shaped) to a maximum of 74kbps.
Shaping can be removed (temporarily - for current month, or permanently) upon your request.
If shaping is removed then any data usage over your plans's free allocation will be charged at 2.5 cents/mb.
The monthly download limits get reset at the start of each new subscription month.
If you are after an entry level broadband access
plan that gives you fast speed access for web browsing, email, chat and instant messanging but does not dent your budget with
occassional excess usage charges then this is the plan you should consider.
- Flat Rate Plans
These plans have been engineered with an average home user in mind.
They provide superb performance for average users who need fast access for web browsing, online-chat,
email or instant messaging
while still giving a good performance for occasional larger file downloads. This means that priority
is given to the web, email and other interactive traffic, while other bulk traffic priority is lowered. These plans are not
for users who require higher sustained average rate of bandwidth (eg file sharing, large video downloads or p2p applications).

* Notes:
- TransACT cable broadband is available in Canberra and ACT only.
Customer must first obtain TransACT cable connection before applying for CyberOne TransACT service.
- Most plans are offered at all speeds offered by TransACT cable service. However, flat rate plans are offered at a fixed speed.
- Maximum connection speeds listed here are theoretical maximum speeds achievable. Your actual achieved speed may vary substantially depending on a number of factors including network configuration, line quality & length, exchange type, customer premises interference, traffic and equipment.
- Off-Peak times are between 1AM and 8AM. For usage to be counted towards off-peak allowance, customer MUST connect
after 1AM and disonnect before 8AM.
- TransACT residential plans are for home users only. Business users connecting on these plans will be charged at corresponding business plan rates.
- 'Unlimited' download allocations are subject to the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
